App Development Cost in Pune & Maharashtra: 2026 Pricing Guide

PricingApp DevelopmentPune

If you're a business owner in Pune, Mumbai, or anywhere in Maharashtra searching for "app development cost," you've probably found two kinds of answers: vague ranges like "$5,000 to $50,000" that tell you nothing, or agencies that won't give you a number until after a sales call. Neither helps you budget.

Here's a straight answer, based on what actually drives cost on real projects.

The three things that actually move the price

Every quote you get should trace back to these three variables. If an agency skips explaining them, ask.

  1. Platform count. A single Android app costs less than an Android + iOS app, which costs less than Android + iOS + a web admin panel. Each platform is close to its own build, not a 20% add-on.
  2. Backend complexity. A static content app (like a portfolio or catalog) is cheap. An app with real-time data, user accounts, payments, or multiple user roles (customer app + vendor app + admin dashboard, for example) needs a proper backend, database design, and API — that's where cost concentrates.
  3. Third-party integrations. Payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe), maps, push notifications, SMS/OTP, AI APIs — each one is usually a fixed, addable cost, not something that scales the whole project up.

Rough 2026 ranges for common project types

These are indicative ranges for the Pune/Maharashtra market, not fixed quotes — actual cost depends on the three factors above.

  • Simple utility or content app (single platform, no backend, e.g. a journaling app or a company info app): lower end of the range, weeks not months.
  • Business app with a backend (bookings, inquiries, a admin panel to manage content): mid-range, and this is where most small-to-mid businesses land.
  • Marketplace or multi-app platform (customer app + partner/vendor app + admin dashboard + payments, similar to a food delivery or services marketplace): highest end — this is effectively three connected products, not one.
  • Website only (marketing site, no app): usually the cheapest option if a mobile app genuinely isn't needed yet — see our post on signs your business needs a custom app before committing to app development at all.

Why "distributed team" pricing tends to be lower

A large part of app development cost in India is overhead — office rent, in-house sales teams, layers of account management. We don't run an office; our team lives and works across Pune, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Karad, Satara, and Sangli, and we put that saved budget into the actual build instead. That's not a discount gimmick, it's a structural difference in how the cost is built up.

What to ask before you accept any quote

  • Does the quote include the backend/admin panel, or is that a separate cost later?
  • Who owns the source code and the app store listing once the project ships?
  • Is there a maintenance/support cost after launch, and what does it cover?
  • Can they show a real, working project in the category you're building — not just a mockup?

If you want an actual number instead of a range, tell us about your project and we'll give you a real quote, not a sales call.
